Allison Singer, CPO
Singer, originally of Rochester, Ill., received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology with minors in psychology and chemistry from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2012. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Prosthetics–Orthotics from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas. Singer completed her two years of orthotic and prosthetic residency with JP&O Labs and obtained her board certification through the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. She also has state licensure for orthotics and prosthetics in the state of Arkansas.
Singer was injured as a child from a lawn mower accident that left her without almost half of her right foot. She now wears a custom silicone restoration prosthesis.
“I decided to pursue this career when I realized it combined my love of art and science,” Singer said. “The field is always changing. I like the challenge of determining what will work best for a particular patient. No two patients are alike.”
In Singer’s free time she enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her husband and her Great Dane.
